Hello everyone, Coldbird here.

As you know I’ve always tried providing you guys some interesting (& freely available) services on coldbird.net.

Those range from PRO(metheus) Online, our PSP & PPSSPP online gaming server, to the revived .hack//frägment PS2 online gaming server & translation, to several other projects related to hacking, networking and other cool things.

As my finances aren’t the best, I always tried to find the right balance in providing content and monetization without influencing your (the user’s) experience in a negative way too much.

Up until now, this server and all its services were more or less funded by piggybacking on our success with PRO CFW, and it’s official download mirrors (linkbucks revenue). While this didn’t fully cover the costs, it brought them down low enough so that they didn’t pose too much of a challenge for me to fund with my own money.

As you guys might have guessed, with the growing age of the PSP, those download counts went further and further down, resulting in less revenue to cover the server hosting costs.

In hopes of filling this monetary gap, bringing coldbird.net back to its previous level of self-funding efficiency, I present to you our new Sound Nexus service.

It’s a music search engine, providing you direct links to high quality 320kbit/s MP3 streams of pretty much everything you can think of.

The page is a work in progress, and it’s obvious that me and my friend aren’t exactly webdesign professionals.

Should you wish to provide your help in making the page more attractive to look at, or have ideas of what to add, feel free to leave your suggestions and / or contact information in the comments.

have you guys thought about putting picture on the mp3 so that people can see which album the music is from and a cool design for the background something that welcomes people and i don’t know if you want to put like a preview music player in your page that way people can get a taste if they like the song or not

The API we created actually supports pictures (artist and album) just fine. But we haven’t made used in the theme just yet because we are bad with themes. If you wish to get involved however and make a theme for us to use, please feel free to get in touch with me.

Hello, the website which you have linked us to to download the game never actually brings me to the download, but to a green shopping page. When I go to the following page after skipping the ad a giant red octagon, pretty much a stop sign looking picture pops up and says I have a virus. My anti-virus then kicks on and has me restart my computer. When this happens it removes several trojans and even some mal-ware. if you could upload this to a safer site it would be much appreciated as I have been a .hack fan since SIGN first aired in the ‘States (At that time I was about 6, and I am now 19), so very well most of my life. This is the only game in the entire franchise I am not able to play and would greatly enjoy being able to do as such.

The host is safe… it’s just that we try to cover the server costs to an extend with ads…
Its not a lot of money, but that tiny bit at least helps us cover 1/10 of the operation costs.

I already know what the issue is and will fix it as soon as possible.
Given the limited time I have for maintaining things like this, it will probably have to wait until the next weekend.

Don’t worry though, the nexus will be back soon.
