EDIT: We are now handing out a limited supply of coldbird.net & ambriel.net E-mail addresses on our Patreon page!

Ever since I wrote my previous post “A new year, a new direction!” I’ve been lost in thought as to whether I’m doing the right thing here.
I’ve left many things behind in the name of keeping my family fed, which is, of course, a valid claim to make.

However, despite all of this, I always find myself in situations where I simply don’t have enough time to get all the things I care about doing done.
There is always something in the way, something that steals my time, something that requires my attention – my job.

That is of course the most normal thing in the world, people wake up, ready themselves for work, do their work, go home, then rest and forget about work until it is again time to repeat the cycle.
Just that for me, there is hardly any rest… there are so many ideas I want to turn into reality, so many projects I’ve started but don’t find the time to actually complete.

Projects that you guys care about, and I do too, both old and new.
And then it dawned on me… no job would mean enough time to do it all, but no job equals no money which is where I humbly request your support dear community.

If you guys truly wish to see a God Eater 2 (PSP version) translation, if you guys want more time spent on PRO Online development (which sadly has been on a halt for a long time), if you guys want me to dedicate myself to you, the community and bring both old projects to fruition / completion, as well as make time and room for new things, like my Android / CyanogenMod bring-up project for badly supported devices, then please consider making a monthly pledge on Patreon towards me.

A few bucks might not be much for you, but if enough people contributed it would allow me to actually do the things I truly care about, namely serving you all in a professional way instead of having to deprive myself of my well-earned rest to simply get things done.

Should I have piqued your interest, even if only in the slightest, please check out my Patreon page over here for a detailed description of what I plan to do and how it would benefit you guys in the long run.

I hope I can count on your support.

Greetings, Coldbird

You shouldn’t have landed there in the first place, I’m sorry about that.

I checked it and saw that the forwarder was invalid (this happened as part of the server move the other day).
I’ve fixed the forwarder now, but you will most likely have to clean your browser cache to make it work.

To access the status page, access it via http://pro.coldbird.net, you will get forwarded to the correct page automatically from there.

Really appreciate all you’ve done, Coldbird, especially Pro Online. I’ve donated to you before, I’ll help you out again when I can spare some cash.

Correct the internet connection? I don’t quite understand what you mean by that.
However the last few months have been tricky as our previous host (bhost.net) has been giving us all kind of issues on our network.

We have moved to a new host as of yesterday, which should fix potential network issues and make our network services like PRO online a lot more reliable.

    Hi Coldbird, how are you?

I’m not sure if you follow it or are aware, but there is a .hack translation resource in the .hack community which I run at dothacktranslate.wordpress.com.

I thank you so much for your work on .hack//Fragment, and since you seem to be somewhat interested in .hack, I hope the following is of interest to you.

I am currently translating .hack//Link for the PSP, but I have limited coding and reverse engineering experience. My team has abandoned the project, leaving me to handle it by myself. I wish to complete it, but I need a programmer who knows how to create a patching system that will correctly place translated files.

There is a patching system in use, but it has limitations and it creates issues such as freezing and crashes. It also does not allow images to be ripped and edited, nor does it allow some cinematic subtitles to be edited.

So, what I am asking is, would you be interested in learning more about this project and consider helping me complete it. I will do all the translation myself, I simply wish to have the patching system improved so that I can have greater control over what gets translated and for the various game crash issues to be resolved.

    Thank you for reading this.
